Apply below. If you are approved we can begin the process of getting you on our waitlist. We take 

nonrefundable deposits of $200 to get on our waiting list, etransfer to dogs@foxtaillabs.ca 

Get your deposit in early to avoid disappointment.

The order we receive the deposits is the order in which you choose your pup, with exception to Foxtail Labradors getting first pick of all litters if we decide to hold any pups back. Deposits will be transferred to another litter of your choice if the puppies born are not the color or sex you requested.

The wait time for a pup can vary from a few months to over a year. Many factors can affect the wait time that are beyond our control: litter size or gender of the puppies, pregnancies that don't take.

After the puppies are born

At 2 weeks old when the puppies are settled in and are thriving we'll start contacting those on our waiting list. 

When the puppies are two weeks old we put their individual colored collars on. Check out our Facebook page to view each puppy's own photo album.

At 5-7 weeks old

When the pups are 5-7 weeks old Foxtail Labradors will contact the first person on the list to choose their pup and then the second person will choose from the remainder and so forth. We wait this long to choose because at this age they are starting to show their temperaments etc.

Because others are waiting to choose their pup, if you are unable to pick out a pup in a timely manner, we will select a puppy for you.

During this time we post a lot of pictures and videos on our Facebook/instagram pages so keep looking for those cute pup pics.

We are with the puppies a lot during these crucial weeks and get to know them all very well. If you have questions on their little personalities we can certainly help with the 'picking out' process. A lot of families want us to pick out their puppy for them as we are around the pups constantly and know which pup would make a great match for your family. 

Puppy Details

Puppies go home at eight weeks old: 

-well socialized with other animals, children, different sounds and toys

-vaccinated once

-dewormed multiple times

-vet checked from a Certified Veterinarian 

-microchipped.

-they are sold with a non breeding registration with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). 

-pups go to their new homes with 4 weeks of puppy health insurance with Trupanion

-pups go home with a swag bag from TLC pet food and our favorite chew toys and more goodies.  

At six weeks old most of our pups are using the doggie door to go outdoors for potty breaks. 

Make sure to order your TLC puppy food well before your puppy leaves Foxtail Labradors so that your puppy has food when they arrive at their new home.

Puppy Pickup

At eight weeks old when the puppy is ready to go to its new home, it’s up to the new owner to arrange pick up. We have flown many pups to all major cities in western Canada. But with regulations continuing to change, flights may not be available out of Fort St John.

The remainder owing ($1800 plus taxes and any delivery charges) is due before you bring your pup home, or before your puppy’s flight.

Please leave all other pets in the vehicle when picking up your pup.
