Guarantee

The buyer agrees to provide Foxtail Labradors a registered name for their pup before the puppy is picked up or delievered. If one is not chosen Foxtail Labradors has the right to choose a registered name for the Buyer’s pup for the CKC paperwork to be finalized.

*Must include the kennel name of “Foxtail’s” at the beginning and a maximum of 18 characters more. 

Foxtail Labradors will register the puppy with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) in the buyer’s name and provide the buyer with registration papers when they are received from CKC. 

Foxtail Labradors offers this puppy WITHOUT breeding rights unless otherwise agreed upon.

Foxtail Labradors guarantees that at the time of pickup/delivery, the puppy is in good health to the best of their knowledge. Foxtail Labradors will guarantee the health of the puppy for 48 hours from the time the puppy has left our property or in the possession of the buyer. We encourage the buyer to have the puppy examined by a certified veterinarian at the buyer’s expense. Foxtail Labradors will replace (no refunds will be given) any puppy returned to our kennel within 48 hours with written explanation from a veterinarian of any health concerns.

It is understood that Foxtail Labradors will not be responsible for any vet bills.

In case of death within the initial 48 hours, an autopsy must be preformed by a certified veterinarian at the buyer’s expense. If the death is determined to be due to a genetic defect Foxtail Labradors will replace the puppy.

We guarantee against debilitating genetic diseases for one year after the date of birth. Should a genetic disease be discovered during this time that will shorten the life or greatly alter the quality of life of the dog, Foxtail Labradors will decide on replacing the puppy on an individual basis.

Foxtail Labradors will  guarantee your pup until 26 months of age against genetic hip and elbow dysplasia. If it is determined that there is a genetic problem by a certified veterinarian, Foxtail Labradors will replace the puppy providing the buyer takes the steps set out below:

-The buyer must notify Foxtail Labradors immediately of the condition.

-The buyer must provide x-rays to Foxtail Labradors (taken of the puppy prior to 26 

months of age) for submission to a veterinarian of the breeder’s choosing for a hip or elbow dysplasia problem to be confirmed.

-If the dysplasia is very extreme and the puppy has to be put down, this will be at the buyer's expense. 

-Buyer’s veterinarian must indicate that there have been no signs of abuse, neglect, past injuries or over exercised

-Veterinary records must be provided to Foxtail Labradors if buyer is requesting a replacement.

The buyer agrees to have this puppy spayed or neutered between the ages of 12-18 months. If this procedure is done earlier then 12-18 months old this guarantee is void.

The buyer agrees to keep the puppy in proper physical condition, to keep all vaccinations and deworming’s up to date and to provide the puppy with a safe environment (i.e., kennel, run or fenced yard and shelter or heated dog house in colder climates). Puppy should be given clean water and TLC kibble (or equivalent high quality dog food) in order to maintain a healthy weight and proper nutrition. If the Buyer decides, at any time during the puppy’s life, not to keep the puppy, please contact Foxtail Labradors if you are unable to adequately re-home the puppy. 

It is also understood that Foxtail Labradors assumes no responsibility for the puppy once it has left the premises other then what is outlined above. This includes but not limited to veterinary expenses, theft, landlord’s disapproval, allergic reactions to the puppy, family disagreement, accidental poisoning, trauma, illness or death, behavioural/training difficulties etc. or any other loss beyond Foxtail Labrador’s control except as stated above. However, Foxtail Labradors is available and willing to offer suggestions or training procedures for your puppy.

Foxtail Labradors has taken steps to ensure that your new puppy is healthy. Your puppy has been selectively bred for excellent quality, health, soundness, and temperament. 

All guarantees apply to the original buyer only. Guarantees are not transferable.

If the puppy/dog needs to be replaced and meets all of the conditions of the guarantee, Foxtail Labradors will replace the puppy/dog with a puppy of equal quality as soon as available. The sex and color will be selected from a litter at our discretion. If at the time the value or the replacement puppy is higher than the price you paid for your puppy, the buyer must pay the difference. Replacement puppy’s transportation to the buyer is at the buyer’s expense. No cash refunds will be made. Only puppy replacement.

 If the above stated guidelines are not implemented this guarantee is void.
